The Coke Can - bus stop

Another realized project from public competition “Refresh your World.” Author of a draft – a traditional shape of cutting can– is Marcel Šťastný, student of industrial design at the Czech Technical University in Prague. The author designed a bus stop as loosely thrown tin of Coca-Cola, which continues to fulfill its purpose just in slightly modified recycled sense.

With respect to construction is the bus stop a design mounted shelter fixed on concrete foundations.

There are used concrete belts in depth 800 mm and from them rising steel construction as building foundations. A floor is made of concrete paving. Walls of the shelter are made of laminated metal sheets with bearing steel construction, external sides are made of Perspex.  The bus stop is treated with dead-burned paint covered with anti-graffiti finish. There are also sticker logos and cutting thin-walled metal sheets as external decoration. Inside is also a bench from shaped metal sheet to bring the waiting passengers comfort.
