BIM
AED project has been a leader in the field of BIM (Building Information Modelling) for over ten years. We smoothly transformed our drawing means from boards into 2D CAD plans and to current virtual information models of buildings. While others plan in 2D, we use BIM.
What does BIM mean to us?
To us, the use and application of BIM into practice means progressing. Using the new methodology of work, we can better process and express plans of all involved parties - investor, architect, engineers and contractor. BIM proves in practice as a substantially more effective process. By using it, important information does not get lost, any alteration, geometrical and information design variant is registered in models "online".
The design principle does not change by using the BIM methodology; tools change we use in project preparation. To us, applying the BIM process into our design work represents a straightforward future for construction business we currently live in AED; at the same time, it also resonates with the Call Stavebnictví 4.0.

How do we work with BIM in AED project?
We have been working on our own BIM standards and introducing them into real life for ten years. We have our own BIM department, a well-tried approach, and an original, at many projects tested methodology. We do not copy others, but systematically occupy ourselves with our own development and innovations.
How do we do it?
By using the BIM method, we create coordinated information models of simpler and very complex buildings. We use spatial coordination of technology services; we make the most of models of many constructions and elements and try to effectively share information models with other parties in processes within the framework of project preparation. Our maximal effort focuses on the quality of these models due to their further use in related processes. Since we have long and extensive know-how, we can be ranked among pioneers of BIM in the Czech Republic; we have tens of built projects designed using this technology.
As a result of our experinece, we provide support to all partners - to those more experienced as well as those starting using BIM. For us, BIM is not only a desing method; on the contrary, we try to promote its vast possibilities in the segment of facility management and maintenance of buildings. Moreover, we are active in the BIM community in the Czech Republic - we provide support and consult with a broad range of those interested in these technologies.

Why we?
We use BIM technology not only for designing new buildings, but also for refurbished, renovated, or modernized ones. Using BIM, AED project restored to life a range of buildings of a different scale and typology.
