Chronology

1996

The new Cristal Palace hotel building in the center of Mariánské Lázně, is located near the spa parks and main colonnade with the famous Singing Fountain.

The generously proportioned 1920’s hotel was built in post-modernism style designed by Prof. Petr Keil. The five-storey hotel with habitable attic and underground parking offers accommodation for 176 guests. The building is dominated by a glazed elevator tower in the center. The ground floor is level with the street, creating an inviting atmosphere for the hotel guests and passers-by with a newly built hotel arrival zone. Starting with the 2nd floor the building floors recede and the roof of the lover floors is used as a terrace. The two other asymmetrical wings are used for guest rooms and the underground floor contains a parking garage for 45 cars. The hotel includes a swimming pool and wellness with small fitness center. The ground floor consists of a restaurant, patisserie and other hotel services. The hotel also has a congress center with sound and video equipment that is sometimes used as a concert hall. The congress center includes a professional interpreting system. The materials used for the construction of the hotel, including surface finish and color design, respect the original style of the hotel reminiscent of the surrounding spa palaces.
